What does your body crave? It wants a healthy balance of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats to keep it going.  By giving it what it needs your body will help you get rid of your belly fat.

What foods do you need to get rid of belly fat

  • Complex Carbs (whole grains, breads, cereals, etc.) maintain energy and keep you feeling full.

  • Fruits: high fiber content, slow absorption into the blood stream, and control insulin levels to reduce fat storage and help burn stored fat.

  • Simple Carbs, or sugars to be avoided and kept to a minimum, little nutritional value, all excess sugars end up in your fat stores then you get tired and eat more.

  • Proteins (lean meats, fish, poultry, soy, beans and legumes, etc.) help maintain the cellular structures in your body and helps build lean muscle which is vital if you want to burn fat fast. Excess protein ends up stored as fat.

  • Alternating animal proteins with plant proteins (soy, beans, legumes, etc.) in your meals is the ideal approach. Animal protein do not keep you feeling full because they contain almost no fiber which negatively effects your ability to burn fat.

  • Fats (found in many proteins, nuts, oils, etc.) essential to maintain things like hair, nail, and skin regeneration. Include small amounts of healthy oils, nuts, and seeds in your diet if you chose lean protein.

How much of all this should you eat to get rid of that belly fat?

The easiest way is to count portions instead of calories.

For each meal: 1-2 portions of complex carbs, 1 portion of protein and as many green veggies as you can eat.   Vegetables are super low in calories, provide more fiber, enzymes that aid in digestion, and vitamins and minerals.

How many times per day should we eat to burn the most fat?

5-6 smaller meals per day, spaced about 3 hours apart is the fastest way to lose abdominal fat.






No need to stop your breakfast, lunch, and dinner routine. Just cut back on how much you eat and add those calories into 2 or 3 snack meals in between. A snack can be a piece of fruit and a slice of whole grain bread or a protein or energy bar.

Focus on foods your body naturally craves for and don’t follow fad diets. Cut down on your meals and snack in between and before long you’ll start to lose that abdominal fat faster than you might of thought possible.
