How do vegetables burn fat?

Vegetables help you burn fat because they are low in calories; they fill you up and are very high in important nutrients. Your stomach has less room for other foods because it is filled with high volume, low calorie vegetables. A diet that is very high in vegetables will help control food cravings, overeating and help you weight loss efforts.

Why do we get cravings?

Your body wants specific nutrients and is not getting them in processed foods along with just about everything marked low carb or low fat. Your body tells you to eat, eat, and eat but doesn’t get what it needs. The nutrients it is looking for you will find in fruits and vegetables.

Carrots

The Carrot is a healing food that provides high quality nutrients, especially from its juice. The carrot is an excellent source of pro-vitamin A, vitamins C, D, E, K, B1 and B6. A good source of fiber, carrots are also rich with biotin, potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, organic sodium and some trace minerals. They also have phytonutrients which are good to aid healing various diseases.

Sweet Potatoes

Sweet Potatoes are a good source of fiber, protein, iron and calcium. Significant antioxidant capacities have been observed from the sweet potato’s unique root storage proteins. The sweet potatoes’ healing properties can possibly be explained by the antioxidants.

Potatoes give a calming effect by the clearing your blood-stream of amino acids that compete with another amino acid, tryptophan. Onions

Onions help reduce inflammation and fights off the effects of free radical in the body with its antioxidant. Onions are said to accelerate the breakdown of fats in your food. This helps your body get rid of more fat instead of storing it in fat cells.

Beets

The Red beet is low in fat and high in carbohydrates and is an excellent source of folic acid. With high levels of anti-carcinogens and high carotenoid content make the red beet unique. Loaded with antioxidant that helps the body against heart disease, certain cancer especially colon cancer and even birth defects. The red beet pigment (Betacyanin) is absorbed into the blood corpuscles and can increase the oxygen-carrying ability of the blood by up to 400 per cent. Beets prevent constipation and can lower cholesterol.
